FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Silicon Valley Bubble Soccer's highest priority is the health and safety of our team members, clients, and families. Therefore, for best practices, it is highly recommended that players sanitize their hands before and after each game. It's the sole responsibility of the party organizer to bring the necessary sanitizing agents and also to filter those who are not feeling well to not attend the event to help prevent the spread of the any virus.
HOW DOES RENTAL WORK?
It's easy! You pick where you want to play, and we'll bring all the equipment to you. Our coordinators will set everything up and referee the games. You don't have to worry about a thing. Currently, we are only booking for bubble soccer.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Prices start at $500 and depend on what package you select. Outside 25 miles from Sunnyvale, delivery charges will apply. Otherwise, no hidden fees, taxes, or surprise charges...ever.
HOW DO I BOOK?
Submit a rental request with where you want to play, the date/time, what game you want, and any other party details.
We'll confirm our availability and get any last details from you.
You finalize or reserve the field/venue where you want to play. We can suggest if needed.
To complete a reservation, customers must either pay their full balance upfront or pay a non-refundable $100 deposit and their remaining balance is due the day of your event. For customers who pay upfront, the non-refundable deposit is built into this payment.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY?
Customers may cancel their reservations at least 2 weeks (14 days) before their scheduled date and receive a full refund. We must receive the cancellation notice in writing / email.
If customers cancel their reservations within the 2 weeks (14 days) of their scheduled date, they will receive a refund minus a $100 deposit.
For cancellations made by Silicon Valley Bubble Soccer due to rain or weather concerns, customers may reschedule for FREE anytime within 6 months from their original event date, based on availability. If customer is unable to reschedule within the 6 months, you can cancel the whole reservation, however, you forfeit your deposit.
WHAT IS CONSIDERED A WEATHER CONCERN?
We cannot play or set up in the following conditions, at the sole discretion of Silicon Valley Bubble Soccer:
Rain or thunder/lightning
Temperatures colder than 40 degrees or hotter than 95 degrees for outdoor events.
Winds over 12mph (see the weather app)
Wet / Muddy fields or Wet Synthetic Turf
Customers may reschedule their rental at any time for FREE due to these weather concerns.
If customers choose to get a refund within 2 weeks (14 days) of their event date instead of rescheduling, they will receive their payment minus their $100 deposit.
For event dates that are forecasted with mixed rain, cloudy, high winds, its best to reschedule your event. Even with a small chance of rain, unforeseen weather can significantly alter the safety of the activity. SV Bubble Soccer reserves the right to make the final decision in all weather-related cancellations.
On the weather app, chances of rain means in the forecasted area, it will see rainfall. So for example, if you see a 40% chance, it means 40% of the forecasted area will see rainfall.
DO YOU REQUIRE A LIABILITY WAIVER?
Yes, we do. As with any athletic sport, there is a risk of physical injury when playing bubble soccer and any game associated wearing the bubble suit. We will give you some tips, but you are responsible for playing safely and sanely. Remember, you play at your own risk! WAIVER FORM
IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO BRING?
As with any outdoor athletics, it is a good idea to bring sunscreen, water, and a towel. Hair tie for players with lengthy hair.
IS THERE A WEIGHT/HEIGHT LIMIT?
For the standard-size bubbles, we suggest that you be 4'8” or taller for the best experience. However, we can also provide smaller bubbles for children ages 9-10 years old.
WHERE DO WE PLAY?
We bring everything to you. Usually, all we need is a flat, grassy area about the size of a basketball court (50'x80'). It could be at a park, school/community field, etc. We can also play indoors on turf, gym court, or carpeted areas. We recommend you reserve your field if needed to ensure we have space. Not sure where or how? We can help.
For indoor facilities, please be aware that we need at least 30 minutes of field access for set up and breakdown before and after your reservation time with the indoor facility. This time requirement is for a typical 5 vs 5 match-ups. If you have additional bubbles from your rental, it means that we'll need more time to set up and breakdown. Therefore, when reserving an indoor facility, please add an extra hour to your reservation. You, our customer, cover all costs for the indoor facility.
We also highly advise that there are plenty of space / buffer between the actual playing area and the walls of the indoor facility (chairs, tables, and other objects on the side of the playing area is hazardous to the bubble suits and players.
HOW MANY BUBBLES SHOULD I RENT?
Bubble Soccer is physically demanding and we allow an unlimited number of players so we often recommend renting less bubbles than the # of people and taking turns. For example, ten bubble suits can comfortably entertain 10-20 people per hour. It takes just a few seconds to get in and out of a suit, so swapping out players is a breeze. It is also recommended that party organizer(s) consider limiting the number of players; it lessens the number of players exchanging bubble suits.
DO YOUR REFEREES ACCEPT TIPS?
Yes! Our referees are service people just like a waiter at a restaurant, except we run for your tips! You can expect your referee to be fun, exciting, and make your event a real joy, so show them some love if we make your event great. If you ever feel your referee could have done a better job, please let us know. We’re always striving to be better while keeping it fun and enjoyable for all.
